1ST DPS INTER SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT AND 3RD SUNDEEP BATAVIA CRICKET TOURNAMENT |

With the aim of promoting sports among students in the gulf region, Delhi Private School, Sharjah will be hosting two major interschool school sports events in cricket and basketball in which 16 leading schools from the region including teams from Kuwait and Muscat will be taking part.
The tournaments titled - 1st DPS Inter School Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls – sponsored by Sharjah Cement Under 19 and 3rd Sundeep Batavia Cricket Tournament for boys under –12 will be inaugurated on Sunday 8th November at the DPS lush green cricket ground. |

Speaking to the press Mr. Dinesh Kothari, Pro Vice Chairman DPS Sharjah said that DPS was committed in promoting sports in the region by conducting major events in cricket, basketball and football to produce great sports people from the Gulf.
Reiterating the school’s contribution to sports Mrs. Abha Sahgal, Principal DPS Sharjah said DPS would like to play a prominent role by encouraging sporting spirit and healthy competition right from the young age. She said she wanted to extend the DPS facilities in Sports and the service of her best coaches to students of various schools in the gulf region. |

Also present on the occasion were our main sponsors Mr. Petrofac, Air India , Air Arabia Air India will be sponsoring two tickets for the best batsman and best bowler of the cricket tournament and Air Arabia will be sponsoring two tickets for most valuable player among boys and girls in the basket ball tournament. |
