EESS won their second league encounter with Westminster in another exciting match. Sharaon Thoas and Ameetha headed the team by scoring 24 and 16 points each. Westminster led in the first 3 quarters whereas EESS scored 18 points in the thrilling last quarter against 8 points of Westminster.
Hams Al Walid scored 14 points for Westminster, Dubai.
In this competitive match-up, Westminster opened the scoring with a lay-up by Miranda and went on an 8-0 scoring run. However their offence was shut down by Ashwini of EESS and Ameeta rallied on offence to end the quarter at 8-6 in favor of WS.
Sharon spearheaded a comeback for EESS equalizing the score at 15-15, however WS managed to gain a 6 point lead by the end of the half, and the score stood at 21-15.

Then started a fiery second half. It was highlighted by internal disputes amongst the EESS team causing them to fumble on many possessions and easy baskets. This was seen in the atrocious shooting display by ameeta who was feeling the pressure. Despite this, EESS managed to shorten the gap with Sharon cutting through the defense with ease and Ashwini continuing her spectacular defence.
The last quarter started with Sharon of EESS going on fire from the paint and complimented by great defense which rendered WS helpless. Tension mounted on both sides with WS showing signs of pressure with dreadful passing and many missed opportunities. 5 minutes into the quarter, a fight broke out between Roya of WS and Sharon of EESS. Sharon kept her cool and Roya was quickly calmed. With 4 minutes left in the match, Ameeta of EESS broke the jinx with 4 quick points complimented by Sharon who was already going great guns. This pairing led to a spectacular comeback for EESS who feasted on the mistakes made by WS, who in turn were reeling under pressure. The game ended with EESS taking it by 7 points, the score at 40-33.
