MODERN HIGH OVERPOWERS AL SADIQ

Modern High school overpowered Al Sadiq by an overwhelming 160 run. The match started off with Al Sadiq captain Daniyal winning the toss and electing to field first. The MHS openers Nikhil and Dushyant provided a solid start with a first wicket partnership of 66.The fielding of Al Sadiq was very poor. After the openers were dismissed captain Shorye and Varun took the MHS innings to a grand total of 260 setting a record so far in the tournament. Shorye scored 33 off 93 balls and Varun scored 43 off 69 balls. None of the bowlers other than Daniyal and Samiullah could produce anything great.

Al Sadiq school openers Daniyal and Sultan gave lots of hope as they too started off strongly with a partnership of 36 when Yash dismissed Daniyal and Prithvi dismissed Sultan. Still hope wasn’t lost when there was a great partneriship of 50 runs between Kazim and Samiullah. After that the wickets just kept falling like pins as the Al Sadiq team only managed to put up a total of 100 for 10 wickets in 14.4 overs.Yash bowled magnificently and bagged 4 wickets in just 2 overs.

Man of the match was awarded to Shorye Chopra of Modern High School.
