 Westminster overpowers EESS

Westminster, Dubai cruised to a convincing victory over Emirates English Speaking by 8 wickets.

 The day started off with EESS skipper Ibrahim winning the toss and electing to bat. Smarth and Amrish opened the innings for them. Amrish was dismissed early by harris bringing the captain Ibrahim on strike. The captain , vice-captain partnership was looking good when Haseeb sent Smarth back for 19 of a brilliant take by Danish. Dilkas closely followed on a score of 3. Many catches were dropped but the ground fielding was tight. Varuna and Ibrahim finished off the innings with style taking their team to a decent score of 123.

 

Westminster captain Jehanzeb sent Harris and Ehsan to open the innings while Ibrahim and Arman opened bowling. Openers were maintaining a good run rate before Smarth broke the good start sending Ehsan home followed by Harris who was run out off a throw of Parth. Talha and Tabreiz scored the winning runs with a good partnership scoring 32 and 35 respectively. They mercilessly dispatched the ball to the boundary every chance they got.

 

Talha was awarded the man of the match for his 32 runs and 1 wicket.

 


 Wesgreen School Sharjah v/s DPS Dubai

 

 DPS DUBAI won by 10 wickets and 100 balls to spare.

The match started of with Wesgreen captain Shabbir winning the toss and electing to bat first. Openers Hamza and Umer followed by Jeet were all dismissed for ducks followed by the rest of the middle order all getting dismissed for very low scores. Fantastic bowling by Rohan, Prabhav and captain Steven cleaned up the Wesgreen innings for a poor score of 31 for 10 in 15.1 overs.

DPS Dubai started their innings with Steven and Rohan opening the innings and Bilal and Shabbir opening the bowling for Wesgreen. Bad line and length from the bowlers and poor fielding helped the Dps Dubai batsmen to finish the innings quickly in 3.2 overs, with Steven scoring 26 of 15 balls. He was also awarded man of the match for his fantastic bowling and his match winning score.
