Delhi Private School, Sharjah, Primary Wing participated for the 11.11.11 Tree Planting campaign "One Tree One Communi-Tree" organized by Emirates Environment Group. The Student representatives of the school had the privilege of planting two Ghaf trees, as we collected 2300kg of paper and send it for recycling. The trees were planted at the premises of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah.

 

Ms. Mousumi Dasgupta, Senior Headmistress of D.P.S Primary Wing congratulated the children for the collective effort put in by every child at school for the Paper Recycling Campaign because of which large amount of paper has been diverted from the landfills. She said, “It’s fantastic to see children motivated and given an opportunity to contribute to the improvement of our environment."

     

During the event students planted the Ghaf sapling and placed a placard with the school’s name. Mrs. Habiba Al Marashi, the chairperson of E.E.G appreciated our school for its dedication and determination in making the world a better place and also applauded the school for inculcating awareness among the students through various recycling programs.
