Dipsites collectively clean-up the Environment

The 13th UAE Clean-Up Drive was organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) on 8th December 2014 at the Sharjah Maliha Road. The purpose of the drive was to collect garbage from the desert areas and promote a cleaner and healthier society.  A total of 800 students, 32 teachers , members of the ancillary staff and drivers from Delhi Private School, Sharjah, led by Ms. Anjum Hasan, the  School Environment Coordinator geared up for the initiative and participated with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by many eminent personalities like Ms. Habiba al Marashi, Co-Founder and Chairperson of EEG, Member UNEP, UNDP, members from Sharjah Education Zone and many more.  The event began with the singing of the UAE National Anthem followed by the hoisting of the “Clean-Up UAE” flag and a beautiful band presentation by the Sharjah Police. The students felt great working under the banner of EEG and were appreciated for their widespread participation. The event was a huge success with a huge amount of garbage collected by the students.
